Bernhard Gal - Newsletter II/2013

Dear friends and colleagues,

just a quick note about some upcoming events, including
1 sound installation, 2 concerts, and 1 radio art project.

My sound installation homesweethomes is still 'on view' this
weekend in Montreal - give it a try it out if you can.

The collaborative work flut which was composed jointly with
my wife Belma will be presented in concert once again, this time
in London, making it easily one of the most performed instrumental
works of mine so far, and there are more concerts in the pipeline ...

After ten years, I've done another composition for
piano solo called
schwarzenberg which will be premiered in
Vienna in the end of May, among some other recent works.

Finally, I just finished the 52-minutes long radio composition
Silence is quiet. Listening.
It's a collaboration with the Slovak author
Róbert Gál, and I am pretty pleased with the result. It will be premiered
on Austrian Kunstradio, there will be a live webstream as well. The
programme can also be 'relistened' for 7 days after broadcast.

... further details below.

Last but not least, the premiere of Klangschatten II last February
was very successful, you can see some images at the link below,
audio and video excerpts will follow, as time permits.

... that's it - enjoy spring/fall, depending which side you're on!

cheers,

BG
