Gal's Newsletter I/2008 - Jan. 31st, 2008


Welcome to the first installment of this year's newsletter!


2008 starts off with a radio portrait at Radio Nacional de España
in Madrid on February 3rd, which can be streamed online as well.

Currently, I am working on 'becuadro', a new composition for
brass instruments and light projection, which will be premiered
in a site-specific setting at the Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna
on March 25th, 2008.

Pianist Xenia Hu will present some of my works for piano in a
multi-channel concert at the Music Instruments Museum in
Berlin (March 6th).

There is also a rare opportunity to experience my duo project
with Kai Fagaschinski in concert (Frankfurt, March 18th),
and probably in another concert in Berlin a few days earlier.

Last, but not least, 2008 also marks the 10th anniversary
of my activities in this cute and weird little cosmos called
contemporary music / art. I am going to celebrate this fact
with a concert at 'Alte Schmiede' in Vienna on March 27th,
featuring a.o. my composition "68th Street" which was
composed in March 1998, about ten years ago.
